Operations with impact on the environment

The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency provides guidance for several activities that affect the environment. These include various industries, water supply agencies, sewage treatment plants, contaminated areas, pits and quarries, airports, and mines.

    In the wake Sweden’s development as an industrial nation a large number of contaminated areas have been left. Several of these areas are so contaminated that they pose a threat to the environment and human health.

    All operations regulated by permit must return annual environmental reports as required by the Environmental Code.
